Z-Tech Water Networks Business Unit
We focus on installing and maintaining control and instrumentation equipment located within the “infrastructure” asset base of water utility companies.
Working for the majority of UK water companies, our specialisms include: flow-metering, pressure management, burst detection, data logging, telemetry and level instrumentation.
By adding mechanical and minor civil engineering skills to our core EC&I skill sets, we have developed highly efficient, cost effective and rapid turnaround “one-stop-shop” solutions such as next day installation of large diameter flow meters. Our “Z-One” software tools are used by many of our customers to manage multi-contractor work-flow, asset data and reporting on tens of thousands of their critical infrastructure assets.
We also offer, via our in-house expert a tailored MCERTS service to the Water Industry assisting our clients in keeping their regulated asset base of flow monitoring recording accurately and ensuring that all legal obligations under MCERTS are satisfied.
As part of this service we can manage certification programmes, replace flow monitoring installations in an emergency or even assist with the management systems.
Through our technical expertise within the company we also offer a specialised MCERTS service which can cover as much of our clients needs that they want to. This starts at managing & delivering routine maintenance on any flow monitoring assets (not just MCERTS certified ones), to routine & emergency replacement all the way to managing the complete asset base and helping our customers with management systems audits and submitting asset plans as part of the UK Water Industries Periodic Review Process. We can, through our strategic partnerships, offer a one-stop shop solution that will help our customers meet their obligations.

Z-TECH will help you with LABOUR:
Water, Power and Rail sectors in the UK continue to find it difficult to find skills around the specialist EC&I labour requirements.
At Z-Tech we have spent many years working on long-term strategies to address this problem, not only for ourselves but also to be able to provide skilled people to our customers.
This might be for something as short as covering for a spike in workload, sickness or for longer-term commitments, embedded in one of your teams. As a general rule, if your skills shortage comes under the umbrella of things we do as a company, then we can help you out -typically this would be Industrial Maintenance Electricians, Fitters, C&I Technicians, Systems Engineers and Project Managers
.
If we supply you with one of our people, you get a lot more than just that individual – they come fully trained and equipped to hit the ground running and with the full support and backup of a control systems business specialist in your sector: van, tools, laptop, PPE, training and software.
Whatever is needed, we take care of it!
ATEX
