Water Industry Process Automation & Control started in 2011 as a LinkedIn Group that acted as a discussion group to share knowledge about Instrumentation, Automation & Control and the direction of travel with regard to the Smart Water Industry.

 

It developed from there and in conjunction with various organisations from supply companies to conference producers it is developing into a full blown knowledge platform with other activities.

 

The plan of action for the Water Industry Process Automation & Control platform is to provide:

 

• An information source for engineers and designers to discover what instrumentation, automation & control systems are out there from details of suppliers to white papers, to webinars and training videos
• At its heart a discussion group about the future direction of the Water Industry and how it integrates Industry 4.0 and the Smart Water Industry
• A knowledge transfer platform sharing the developments within the Water Industry.
• A training platform including events such as the WWEM Instrumentation Apprentice Competition, the WIPAC Flow Forum and the WIPAC Learning Zone
